Conversations
When obstacles arise, the wise rejoice while the foolish retreat.'
Buddhist famous sentiment
I'm noticing more and more
That we bypass the difficult conversations
We bypass conflict
We bypass wisdom
We simply dive into tittle tattle (boring)
Instead shutting those out/ or saying I can't handle this right now.
And of course there is a place for this, yet how can we come into wisdom if we simply run and therefore hurt others when life gets tough?
In other professions (and I've done some time in education and the arts industry) when something happens,
We have a conversation
A professional conversation about our grievances
However in wellness
We walk away
Why?
When we are here for truth, can we be here for it all?
Your conversations matter.
They provide closure
They support our somatic experiences to move through from embodied wisdom into the wisdom of balanced dual action... we need both.
And yeah it's not easy
And yeah it's uncomfortable
But let us rejoice in this thing called wisdom in the relational field of being
Professionalism matters
Heart also matters
Can they not meet on the ground of difficulty and have a conversation in a balanced way?
